Etana Energy, Growthpoint Properties (JSE: GRT) and the City of Cape Town have successfully implemented the first pooled wheeling of renewable electricity across multiple properties within the City’s municipal network.
Mulilo’s 219MWdc utility-scale solar PV project near Orkney in South Africa’s North West province has achieved financial close following the execution of an innovative power purchase agreement (PPA) with Etana Energy as the sole off-taker. This project will supply around 478 GWh of renewable electricity per year to Etana Energy’s customers across South Africa via wheeling.
